Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Efalio AI ("the Service," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. You can end any other active session at any time from Settings, or delete your account entirely (see Section 8).

4. AI-generated content

The Service uses artificial intelligence (including OpenAI's models) to generate lessons, corrections, conversational responses, and scores. AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, or occasionally inappropriate despite our content moderation safeguards. AI feedback is provided for language-learning practice only and is not a substitute for a certified teacher, translator, or exam authority. We don't guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated corrections, scores, or exam-practice feedback.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Speaking Partner or any AI feature to generate harmful, harassing, or illegal content
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, content moderation, or subscription gating
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or its AI-generated content at scale
• Share your account with others or use the Service to harm minors

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from Settings. 7. Intellectual property

We own the Service's software, design, and branding. You retain ownership of what you write (messages, essays, flashcard notes), but grant us a license to process it in order to provide the Service (e.g. sending it to our AI providers for correction/scoring).

8. Your data, export, and deletion

You can download a copy of your data or permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible and removes your profile, conversations, flashcards, and progress history. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including accounts flagged by our content moderation systems for repeated abuse.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Company Name] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated content.

11. Governing law
